Offer DescriptionThe Center Development of Functional Materials (CDMF), a Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center (RIDC) supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and based at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) in São Paulo state, Brazil, is calling for applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship.The selected candidate will work on the development of new photonic materials deposited in the form of omnidirectional and superhydrophobic anti-reflective thin films applied as coatings to photovoltaic panels with the aim of maximizing the photovoltaic behavior of these commercial panels and also third-generation cells potentially applicable to optical windows.Candidates must have a PhD in Physics, preferably recent PhDs (completed within 1 year) with a good publication record. It is necessary to have proven experience in microwave synthesis methods, deposition of monolayer or multilayer thin films by wet bench routes, electrical measurements mainly related to photovoltaic parameters and impedance, knowledge of photonics applied to waveguide-type effects by gradual refractive index and omnidirectional, UV-Vis-NIR transmittance/absorbance/reflectance characterization and refractive index determination.Candidates should send the following documents to , with the subject “BOLSA-PD/CDMF/UFSCar_june_2024”:a) Curriculum Vitae (maximum of 4 pages);b) Letter of intent explicitly stating compliance with the prerequisites.This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality.
