The Tech Engineering pillar builds technical capability to serve customers through engineering, technology, systems, digitalization and automation.Operational Support area works side by side with the logistics operations team in Latin America (11 distribution centers in 9 countries).Responsibilities will involve organizing demands, needs and projects from different areas and stakeholders, ensuring connection between budget, performance, facilities, systems, and strategic initiatives management.The position creates & enhance the proper capabilities required to drive the regional & global strategy execution, guaranteeing speed and harmonization for standards roll out in all countries for Janssen LatAm Deliver operations.You will be responsible for :

  • Lead the new/rollout operational capabilities/standards projects related to Engineering, technology, systems, digitalization and automation.
  • Coordinate high-level project activities and maintain accountability for overall project success: develop project plans, timelines and resource requirements; facilitate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Represents Deliver LatAm in the global engineering forums and governances.
  • Manages the development and implementation of engineering projects within Deliver: automation, capacity expansion, technology standards and others.
  • Serve as the Engineering expert for Consumer, Pharm, MD Ethicon CSS & DPS and Vision Care Deliver operations.
  • Ensures all activities and projects align to global standards and adhere to good engineering practices.
  • Manages vendors and third-party engineers for projects execution.
  • Connects with Facility for warehouse infra-structure projects.
  • Work closes with IT for system related projects.
  • Control projects capex and expenses.
  • Lead and partner with project sponsors, project managers, and cross-functional teams to plan, scope and identify requirements and resources for existing and new initiatives.
  • Lead multi clusters daily activities.
  • Identify short and long-range investment requirements to deploy the operational capabilities across the region.
  • Recognize risks and opportunities in all Warehouse & Transportation environment.
  • Leads governance, communications, and reporting regional operational Leaders and Teams.
  • Identify industry-leading practices and perform external benchmarking as required.
  • Support the intake processes across workstreams for their respective region and/or global process.
  • Drive existing priorities, projects, and status.
  • Adheres to all EHS&S and Compliance procedures.
  • Manage team interdependencies to ensure confirm deliverables are best positioned for completion, avoiding duplication of efforts and disconnected processes / steps driving efficient partnership and synergy amongst all key members of the team.
  • Guarantee the right level of relationship with our stakeholders to deliver the best-in-class URS & partnership from operational team.
  • Proactively surface and resolve key issues with a great sense of urgency, demonstrates continuous improvement including footprint, resource management, leveraged value, technology
  • Identify and champion a talent development strategy (JJSC People Strategy) for high potential and high performing talent for the segment.
  • Engage both with internal & external sources to drive continuous improvement for the organization and benchmarks.
  • Drive a CREDO based culture across W&T organization.
  • Drive a culture of Safety, Compliance & Financial Acumen. Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Advanced English and Spanish is a must/required.
  • Other: Advanced degree like MA and MBA preferred.
  • Required Years of Related Experience:
  • Min. 3 years in end-to-end supply chain related disciplines. Experience in Logistics (warehouse, transportation, customer service and projects) are preferred.
  • Experience in design, build, install and qualification of engineering, software and technology solutions.
  • Ability in shaping engineering solutions and getting business cases approved.
  • Experience with storage and picking technology solutions is a plus.
  • Demonstrate Strategic skills especially in Strategic thinking and Strategy implementation in a matrix, complex and global environment.
  • Previous experience in Innovative Medicine Logistics (Projects, Process and Operations Management)
  • Ability to drive process improvement and value creation across the business.
  • The person should have strong leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously that involves internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicational skills (written and oral), a person easy to connect with and establish good relationships at all levels. The ability to influence and negotiate without specific authority is important for achieving execution results.
  • Experience managing timelines, budget, risks for each project, and ability to respond flexibly to changing project priorities and work assignments.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum, FPX, etc. will be valued.
  • Financial and Compliance Acumen.
  • Proven ability to go from strategy to execution and deliver results in the operational floor.
  • Availability for travel (up to 40% time)
