Offer DescriptionThe Center for Public Sector Policy and Economics at Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV-CEPESP) in São Paulo, Brazil is seeking applicants for a post-doctoral researcher position with scholarship funded by FAPESP, the São Paulo Research Foundation.The postdoc will carry out a project entitled “The Role of Party Organizations in Electoral Strategies: A Subnational Analysis” under supervision of Professor Pedro Floriano Ribeiro of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). This study, which is inserted within the scope of the aforementioned Thematic Project coordinated by Professor George Avelino, investigates how subnational party organizations impact reelection decisions and electoral success in Brazil’s open-list proportional system.The selected candidate must have availability to work in person with both the FGV-CEPESP research team and the Department of Political Science at UFSCar.Interested candidates should email their application (subject: “PD”) to ( in cc).
